Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LES or LEMS) is also called
- Myasthenic syndrome
- Eaton-Lambert syndrome.
It is a progressive syndrome.
- muscle weakness usually first in the upper legs and upper arms, tingling in the affected areas.
- strength improves on exercise at first, but lessens as exercise is continued.
- less sweating than usual
- dry mouth
- gait can be affected - the way you walk
- muscles may ache.
It is a disease of the neuromuscular junction. It is also an auto immune disease.
